Care and Support

We work alongside health and social care commissioners and agencies to help provide the most appropriate care and support for our residents’ health and well-being.

Our care teams will work as closely as possible with you, your loved ones and your medical team to create a care plan tailored specifically to you, which is reviewed regularly. We want the care you receive to be as personal to you as possible so we strongly value you and your loved ones’ assistance in its development and review.

About the Care Quality Commission

The CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.

They ensure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve.

The CQC’s role is to:

  • Register care providers
  • Monitor, inspect and rate services
  • Take action to protect people who use services
  • Independently publish their views on major quality issues in health and social care.

When the CQC inspect a care home, they ask these 5 key questions:

  • Is this service safe?
  • Is this service effective?
  • Is this service caring?
  • Is this service responsive to people’s needs?
  • Is this service well-led?

Environmental, Social & Governance

Environmental and Social Principals are at the heart of everything we do at Tanglewood Care Homes. Our strategy is led by our Chief Executive Officer and is supported by our Senior Managers across all disciplines. They work to ensure that the right practices are in place, and sustainability is at the forefront of our thinking to enable us to reduce our carbon emissions and our overall carbon footprint.
